Synopsis

Phyletes rescues Clios, his betrothed, from the rapacious Haxar. Haxar, returning in triumph from conquest, asks for Clios as his wife, but her father, King Dyomedes, informs him that she is already betrothed to Phyletes. In revenge, Haxar attacks and overcomes the city. The wounded Dyomedes is carried to safety by Phyletes. Phyletes returns to find Clios whom Haxar has taken. He fires the palace and snatching his bride from the hands of Haxar, flees with her in the confusion. They are saved by the burn- ing palace suddenly collapsing on the pursuers. From their refuge, Dyomedes and the lovers watch the destruction of the city (1395ft). Note: The settings and actors appear to be the same as those in LA CADUTA DI TROIA (qv).
